When the Day Softens ❤️

I took When the Day Softens out into the garden today to photograph it amongst the flowers while they’re still looking this beautiful.

With the dry weather we’ve been having, I’m not sure how much longer they’ll last — whether the drought continues or the rain finally arrives.

So I thought I’d capture this moment while I could… painting and garden together. 🌸🌿

✨ A new painting — Harbour Afterglow

Inspired by an evening view across Schull Harbour in West Cork — boats resting on the water, the last glow of sunset and those gorgeous reflections that happen just before the light disappears.

I’ve taken a little artistic licence with this one, capturing the feeling of a West Cork harbour at dusk rather than an exact view.
